Batu Pahat: A temporary evacuation centre (PPS) in Johor has been opened following flash floods in Kampung Baharu, Sri Gading, Batu Pahat, this morning. Johor Disaster Management Committee chairman Tan Sri Dr Azmi Rohani in a statement said the PPS at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Sri Gading, which opened at 10 am, is currently sheltering 99 victims from 34 families.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Sungai Senggarang in Batu Pahat is at the alert level with a reading of 3.32 metres. Two other rivers, Sungai Batu Pahat (2.30 metres) and Sungai Lenik at Ladang Cha'ah (5.14 metres), are at the warning level. The weather in all districts in Johor has been reported to be clear as of noon.
