Flood Situation In Sabah Improves, Drastic Reduction In Flood Evacuees

Beaufort: The flood situation in Sabah has improved as the number of evacuees was drastically reduced to 82 people from 29 families in Beaufort as of 4 pm today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Sabah disaster management committee secretariat reported a significant reduction from the 363 evacuees from 133 families recorded at 8 am.

"All the evacuees are at Dewan DUN Banir, which opened on Feb 25,' the secretariat stated.

Only five villages remain affected this evening, compared to 93 villages this morning, it added.
