Floods in Sabah: Number of Victims Rises to 3,325 Across Six Districts

Sabah: The number of flood victims in Sabah has risen to 3,325 people from 964 families as of this afternoon, up from 3,134 people this morning.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, a statement from the Sabah State Disaster Management Committee (JPBN) indicates that all victims are currently housed in 28 temporary evacuation centers (PPS) across six districts: Beaufort, Membakut, Penampang, Papar, Putatan, and Sipitang.

The number of evacuees in Penampang and Papar continues to increase, while the numbers in Beaufort, Membakut, and Sipitang remain stable. The number of victims in Putatan has decreased. A total of 128 villages have been affected by the floods in Sabah since September 9.

Meanwhile, in Sarawak, the JPBN reported that 13 people from three families are still sheltering at the Dewan Suarah Marudi PPS as of 4 pm today. Two river water level stations, in Marudi and Long Teru, are also at dangerous levels.
