Pingtan:Increased tourism activity was observed on China's Pingtan Island during the National Day holiday, driven by the Fujian Super League football season.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Pingtan hosted its final home game of the season on October 4. The event coincided with a local market offering visitors a taste of local food and cultural products.

Off-site locations like Longwangtou Ocean Park and Zhuyu Bay Film and Television Base provided additional viewing areas for the match. These sites also organized activities, including night-time camping and football-related events.

Football fans benefited from a special ticket package priced at 9.9 Chinese yuan, which included admission vouchers for attractions such as the 68 Nautical Miles Scenic Area and Xianren Well, along with discounts at 46 local businesses. The initiative aimed to encourage spending on dining, accommodation, transport, sightseeing, shopping, and entertainment.

During the holiday, Pingtan reported increased visitor numbers at major scenic spots and higher bookings at bed-and-breakfast establishments and restaurants, as the island focused on promoting its coastal and rural tourism offerings.
