Pingtan:Increased tourism activity was observed on Pingtan Island, China, during the National Day holiday as the Fujian Super League football season attracted fans to the area.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Pingtan hosted its final home game of the season on October 4, accompanied by a nearby market offering local food and cultural products which drew visitors.

Off-site locations such as Longwangtou Ocean Park and Zhuyu Bay Film and Television Base provided match screenings and organized activities like night-time camping and football-related events to engage fans.

Football tickets, priced at 9.9 Chinese yuan, came with a promotional package offering admission to attractions like the 68 Nautical Miles Scenic Area and Xianren Well, alongside discounts at 46 businesses. This initiative encouraged spending on dining, accommodation, transport, sightseeing, shopping, and entertainment.

The island also reported a surge in visitors to major scenic spots and increased bookings at bed-and-breakfast establishments and restaurants, as it promoted its coastal attractions and rural tourism during the holiday.
