Cairo: Former national player Muhammad Roslin Hashim has joined Egypt as the head coach of the country's national badminton team. Roslin, a former world number one, said he signed a three-year contract with the Egyptian Badminton Federation (EBF) earlier this month.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Roslin's main task is to groom the Egyptian squad for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. He remarked on the significant challenge ahead and the substantial responsibilities he must shoulder, not only as a coach but also as a technical director and head coach. Roslin expressed his commitment to doing his best in this new role.
Roslin highlighted the EBF's offer as an excellent opportunity to apply his knowledge to help develop badminton in Egypt. He noted the current level of badminton in the country and expressed a desire to push Egyptian players beyond their comfort zones to elevate their performance.
