Raub: Houses in several areas of Raub were damaged following heavy rain and storms which hit the district this afternoon. Raub Civil Defence Force (APM) officer Captain (PA) Samasuddin Kambade reported that the storm, occurring at about 3 pm, affected eight houses in Kampung Melayu Sempalit, Taman Amalina Lestari, and Jalan Lipis. The strong winds caused damage to roofs, bedrooms, and kitchens of the houses, although no casualties were reported in the incident. According to BERNAMA News Agency, as of 10 pm, only eight houses have been reported to be affected. The Raub APM visited the locations to gather information, deliver food kits, and conduct cleaning work. Meanwhile, Kuantan police chief ACP Ashari Abu Samah shared that heavy rains starting at 6 pm led to flooding in several areas, including Taman Perumahan Galing, Kampung Galing, and Jalan Stadium. Several officers from the Kuantan police station were on site to monitor the situation.
