Kuala lumpur: The Friends of Ministry (FOM) under the Federal Territories Department held an engagement session with Government Backbenchers, providing Members of Parliament a platform to share their views on policies and public issues.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Federal Territories), Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa, announced in a Facebook post that 15 FOM among Government Backbenchers have been appointed. These MPs represent towns across Peninsular Malaysia and play a crucial role in ensuring that national policies, especially those concerning the Federal Territories, remain comprehensive, inclusive, and balanced.
Dr Zaliha emphasized the importance of these sessions, expressing her hope that they will continue to be held consistently. She stated, "InsyaAllah, the opportunity to listen, share, and discuss will always remain open for the well-being of city residents."
The meeting took place at Kuala Lumpur City Gallery in Medan Pasar, a location that the department is repurposing as part of its efforts to ensure sustainable development in the capital, while also preserving its heritage.
