Give PH A Chance To Serve Johor, Anwar Appeals To Voters

Johor: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has appealed to the people of Johor to give Pakatan Harapan (PH) a chance to serve the state as they prepare to cast their ballots in the 16th Johor state election this Saturday. The PH chairman said the coalition was committed to working hard to safeguard Johor's interests if given the mandate by the people.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar expressed his dedication to Johor's progress and prosperity. He urged the voters to trust HARAPAN with the responsibility of serving the state. Anwar's message emphasized that the coalition would ensure that the development and progress of Johor would be genuinely experienced by all its residents.

Anwar's appeal extended specifically to Johor-born voters, encouraging them to return to their home state to participate in the election. In a creative gesture, he used traditional Malay poetry, pantun, to inspire voters to come back and exercise their democratic rights. The pantun highlighted the cultural heritage and the future prosperity of Johor, urging citizens to return with hope for a thriving and advanced state.

In the upcoming 16th Johor state election, 172 candidates are contesting for a total of 56 state seats.
