Kuala lumpur: The General Operations Force (GOF) seized 15 beef cattle and a lorry, with the total seizure value estimated at RM340,000, during Ops Taring Wawasan Kelantan at Kampung Chabang Empat, Chetok, Pasir Mas. According to BERNAMA News Agency, Southeast Brigade commander SAC Ahmad Radzi Hussain stated that the interception was executed around 2.30 pm today by a Strike Force team from Company B, 7th Battalion GOF Kuantan, who were patrolling the Jeram Perdah area. Ahmad Radzi explained that the team identified a suspicious lorry and stopped it on Jalan Pasir Mas-Tanah Merah for inspection. The 38-year-old local driver was unable to provide complete documentation for the cattle being transported. The seized items included a Hino lorry and 15 beef cattle. The suspect was detained to assist with investigations, and the case has been turned over to the Kelantan Veterinary Services Department for further action in accordance with Section 36(1) of the Animals Act 1953. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect transported the cattle from a livestock pen in Kampung Palas Merah, Wakaf Bharu, Tumpat, receiving RM250 for each delivery. Ahmad Radzi emphasized that the seizure resulted from ongoing patrols by the Strike Force team to combat smuggling activities and legal violations in border regions.
