Kuala lumpur: The gold futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended mixed today, following new tariffs imposed by the United States on its trading partners.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the spot-month August 2025 decreased to US$3,310.40 per troy ounce from US$3,324.80 yesterday. September 2025 declined to US$3,316.30 per troy ounce from US$3,330.70, while October 2025 eased to US$3,345.40 per troy ounce from US$3,360.80 previously.
However, November 2025 saw an increase, rising to US$3,362.80 per troy ounce from US$3,360.80. December 2025, February 2026, and April 2026 contracts also showed gains, settling higher at US$3,380.20 per troy ounce compared to US$3,360.80 previously.
Trading volume experienced a decline, falling to seven lots from 10 lots yesterday. Open interest also weakened, dropping to 29 contracts from 47 previously.
Physical gold was priced at US$3,298.85 per troy ounce, based on the London Bullion Market Association's afternoon fix on July 31, 2025.
