Kuala lumpur: The MADANI Government has committed to ensuring that the RM30 million allocated by the Finance Ministry for Tamil National-Type Schools (SJKT) will be completely utilized without any financial leakages. Deputy Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan confirmed this during a recent engagement session with the schools' board of governors (LPS) and headmasters, co-chaired with Deputy Education Minister Wong Kah Woh.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the engagement session was a follow-up to earlier meetings held on August 29 and September 4. These sessions aimed to include the LPS and headmasters in discussions, allowing for a transparent and inclusive dialogue on school development priorities. The RM30 million allocation announced by the Prime Minister is intended for constructing additional blocks, replacing facilities, and maintaining Tamil schools, with a strict mandate to prevent any misuse or bureaucratic delays.
Four schools participated in this session: SJKT Klebang in Perak, SJKT Ladang North Hummock in Selangor, and SJKT Ladang Kulai Besar and SJKT Ladang Rini, both in Johor. Ramanan emphasized the importance of ensuring these schools receive the necessary facilities, such as additional classrooms, laboratories, libraries, safety features, and essential maintenance.
Ramanan expressed gratitude to Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek for her cooperation in expediting processes within the ministry. The meeting also included representatives from Yayasan Didik Negara and relevant State Education Departments to ensure the projects adhere to technical guidelines and proceed smoothly.
The MADANI Government remains dedicated to fulfilling its promises, ensuring every allocation is used effectively, and supporting school development for the benefit of children.
