Government Intensifies Efforts to Tackle Energy Crisis, Ensure Public Welfare

Kulai: The government will continue to strengthen measures to address the global energy crisis, with a focus on safeguarding the welfare of the people, Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil said. In a Facebook post today, he said the matter was highlighted during a briefing session with his deputy and Kulai MP Teo Nie Ching in Kulai last night.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Fahmi emphasized that facing global challenges requires discipline, cooperation, and confidence. He expressed optimism that Malaysia will remain strong, stable, and resilient in overcoming any challenges.

The minister also encouraged the public to utilize the PriceCatcher application to check prices and make informed purchasing decisions. Developed by the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN) and launched in March 2019, PriceCatcher displays the prices of 480 selected items at various markets and shops.

The application monitors six categories of items, including fresh goods, dry goods, packaged items, milk and baby products, hygiene products, and beverages.
