Guangzhou: China’s southern province of Guangdong officially launched four international communication platforms-IP Guangdong, LIVE Guangdong, INFO Guangdong, and Go Guangdong-in a bid to connect with global audiences and foster deeper cultural exchange. In an open invitation to the world, the province in a statement, calls on international friends to ‘experience daily life in Guangdong and share your stories-wherever you are.’
According to BERNAMA News Agency, each platform offers a distinct gateway into Guangdong’s dynamic society. IP Guangdong serves as a content creation and sharing platform, providing users with a space to share their observations, opinions, and creations. Meanwhile, LIVE Guangdong delivers around-the-clock live camera broadcasting, displaying real-time scenes across the province.
INFO Guangdong provides overseas users with daily life service information, covering tips for visa applications, medical services, and travels, whereas Go Guangdong provides clues and directives for thematic visits, featuring destinations ranging from villages and factories to laboratories. Guided by the principle ‘by the people, for the people-creating, showcasing, and sharing together’, the initiative emphasizes storytelling and grassroots participation to foster mutual understanding between cultures.
The move reflects Guangdong’s growing role in China’s international outreach. As a pioneer in reform and opening-up, the province continues to lead in global engagement through cultural, social, and economic development.
