Hafizh Syahrin Confident in Hakim Danish’s Potential at Malaysian GP

Sepang:Former national MotoGP rider Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah has expressed confidence in Moto3 rider Muhammad Hakim Danish Ramli following his impressive performance during the practice sessions at the Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix (GP), where he secured top-five finishes.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Hafizh highlighted Hakim Danish's potential to maintain his momentum in the upcoming qualifying session. He emphasized the importance of avoiding mistakes to secure a good starting position for Sunday's race, reflecting on an incident last year where a crash prevented Hakim Danish from finishing the race.

Hafizh advised the 19-year-old to remain calm and not exert too much pressure on himself, noting that the young rider is well aware of what needs to be done once on the track. Hafizh spoke after launching new UMA Racing products at the Sepang International Circuit.

Hakim Danish, who made his Moto3 World Championship debut as a wildcard entry at last year's Malaysian GP, is now in his first full season in the championship. Hafizh remarked that Hakim Danish's familiarity with the home circuit and consistent training, supported by his manager Zulfahmi Khairuddin and SIC, provide him with an advantage.

During today's first free practice session, Hakim Danish, riding for the AEON Credit-MT Helmets-MSI team, recorded the fifth-fastest time of 2 minutes and 11.834 seconds. This performance was closely followed by a strong showing in the practice session, where he finished fourth with a time of 211.573 seconds, securing his place in the Moto3 qualifying two (Q2).
