Heavy Rain, Strong Winds Expected In Eight States – MetMalaysia

Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds affecting several areas in Kedah, Kelantan, Pahang, Selangor, Sarawak, and Sabah, as well as the entirety of Penang and Perak. This adverse weather is expected to continue until 1 am on Monday.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the areas in Kedah under warning include Yan, Kuala Muda, Sik, Baling, Kulim, and Bandar Baharu. In Kelantan, Jeli, Tanah Merah, Machang, Kuala Krai, and Gua Musang are expected to be affected.

In Pahang, the warning is for Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Jerantut, Maran, Kuantan, Pekan, and Rompin. Selangor's affected areas include Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, and Hulu Selangor.

In Sarawak, weather warnings are in place for Sarikei (Pakan and Julau), Sibu (Kanowit), Kapit (Song, Kapit, and Bukit Mabong), Bintulu, and Miri (Subis, Beluru, and Marudi), along with Limbang. In Sabah, the warning covers the Interior regions of Nabawan and Keningau, as well as Sandakan's Tongod area.
