Helicopter Crash Victim Dr Ainul Baraah To Be Buried In Kota Bharu

Kota bharu: The remains of Dr Ainul Baraah Kamarudin, who tragically lost her life in a helicopter crash in Sarawak, are expected to be laid to rest at the Sri Kedeper Muslim Cemetery. This follows the completion of necessary forensic procedures. Her father, Kamarudin Salleh, has announced that funeral prayers for Dr Ainul will be conducted at Masjid Al Karamah in Mukim Baung Besar, Pengkalan Chepa.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the helicopter crash occurred near the Long Lellang Short Take-off and Landing Airport (STOLport) in Ulu Baram, approximately 929 kilometers from Kuching. The incident involved a BO-105 helicopter that was on a Flying Doctor Service (FDS) mission when it tragically crashed.

Miri Division Resident Galong Luang, who also serves as the Miri Division Disaster Management Committee chairman, confirmed that all five individuals aboard the helicopter perished in the crash. The victims included pilot Capt Zainol Afiq Bee Sham, medical officer Dr Ainul Baraah Kamarudin, medical assistant Alexson Adit Henry, and nurses Debra Moset and Jessie Paya Jok.
