Perlis: The Hop-On Hop-Off Bus (HoHoBus) service in Perlis offers the latest attraction to tourists to boost the tourism sector in the state and thus heighten the promotion for Visit Perlis Year, which has been extended until next year.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Perlis Tourism, Arts and Culture and Rural Development Committee chairman Abu Bakar Hamzah said the government could showcase the uniqueness of 10 interesting locations in the state to local and foreign tourists through the bus service. “This tourist bus initiative aligns with the state’s desire to intensify the promotion of Visit Perlis Year and enhance existing attractions such as the decorated ‘Choley’ (a three-wheeled motorised taxi) in Kuala Perlis,” he stated after the launch of the HoHoBus service.

The launch was officiated by the Raja Muda of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, with the presence of the Raja Puan Muda of Perlis Tuanku Dr Hajah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil. Also present were State Housing and Local Government, Information and Digital Committee chairman Asrul Aimran Abd Jalil and Kangar Municipal Council (MPK) president Affendi Rajini Kanth.

Meanwhile, Asrul Aimran mentioned the HoHoBus is offering promotional fares from as low as RM3, with the journey covering 10 interesting destinations around Perlis, and tickets can be purchased at the Perlis Sentral Terminal. He emphasized this fresh initiative aims to provide a different experience for visitors to enjoy the serene beauty of the verdant paddy fields and rustic village atmosphere in the state, urging the media to publicize this new attraction.
