Human Skeletal Remains Found In Barrel Confirmed, Case Classified As Murder

Machap: Police have confirmed that the skeletal remains found in a barrel near the Durian Tunggal Dam reserve area in Machap last Sunday are human bones. Alor Gajah police chief Supt Ahmad Abu Bakar stated that the case has been classified as murder and is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, there are currently no further developments in the case. The bones have been confirmed to be human, and the investigation is proceeding under the relevant section of the Penal Code. At this stage, the victim's gender remains undetermined, and a post-mortem examination is ongoing.

Additional items discovered alongside the skeletal remains include a blue 'pelikat' sarong, a T-shirt, and a pair of shorts. The discovery occurred last Sunday when three individuals, aged between 25 and 35, found a blue barrel believed to contain the remains while fishing at the reservoir around 11.40 am.
