Kuala lumpur: The Deputy Director-General of Works (Building Sector), Datuk Ibrahim Esa, has been named Director-General of Works at the Public Works Department (JKR), effective today. Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar announced the appointment in a statement, emphasizing the significance of Ibrahim's new role.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar expressed confidence in Ibrahim's abilities, stating, "I believe his vast experience and technical expertise will drive JKR's excellence as the country's key infrastructure agency and improve the efficiency of development project delivery to the highest standards."
Ibrahim, aged 58, has a robust educational background with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. His career spans 32 years in civil engineering, with a particular focus on infrastructure development and public facilities project management.
