IPOH: The Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU) of the Prime Minister's Department (JPM), in collaboration with the Perak State Development Office, is taking significant steps to uplift underprivileged entrepreneurs by providing essential business capital funding. This initiative is part of a concerted effort to foster entrepreneurship among the needy and is implemented through the Usahawan Susu ICU-Farm Fresh Programme (PUSH), under the government's Kesejahteraan Rakyat MADANI (IKRaM) framework. According to BERNAMA News Agency, Datuk Shamshuzaman Sulaiman, the director of the initiative, announced that participants would receive a starter kit donation valued at RM1,000 for the Farm Fresh Milk Home Dealer programme. The initiative is designed to help 16 selected participants from Perak, identified through the eKasih system, to enter the milk business. Shamshuzaman emphasized that many participants are small traders with prior business experience, and the program aims to provide them with the opportunity to supplement their income and escape poverty. The initiative marks the first iteration of the program, which includes comprehensive training and entrepreneurial guidance for its participants. Shamshuzaman highlighted the effectiveness of PUSH, a strategic partnership between ICU JPM, the Perak State Development Office, and Farm Fresh Berhad, in boosting household income through dairy product sales. The JPM ICU remains committed to working with strategic partners to continuously support those living below the poverty line, particularly in Perak and across the nation. Farm Fresh Berhad's chief operating officer, Azmi Zainal, noted that the Home Dealer programme, initiated in 2016, has already produced over 2,000 entrepreneurs.
