Selangor: Selangor Red Giants (SRG) head coach Michael Bocado, better known as Arcadia, has expressed relief following the return of EXP laner Mark Genzon Sojero Rusiana, or Kramm, ahead of the playoff stage of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Malaysia (MPL MY) Season 17. Arcadia said Kramm's return is expected not only to restore stability to the team's overall performance, but also provide a timely boost as SRG gear up to defend the title they won last season.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Kramm was previously handed a seven-match suspension after being found guilty of committing a serious violation under the official MPL MY rulebook. In addition, he was fined USD2,000 (RM7,839) for the offence. However, the suspension was later reduced to five matches after organisers accepted an appeal submitted by SRG.
Commenting on SRG's performance during the regular season, Arcadia admitted it was not an outcome he wanted from the team after failing to maintain an unbeaten record. However, he said his players are determined to deliver a stronger performance in the playoffs to clinch the Season 17 title and secure an automatic slot at the Mid Season Cup in Paris this July.
'Our primary goal is to make sure that we secure our ticket to Paris and get the trophy (MPL MY) because we really want to defend this title this season. I think this season is very special and memorable for us,' he said.
