Kuala lumpur: The government will launch the Ihsan Rahmah 9.9 online sale on September 9 in conjunction with Malaysia Day 2026. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced that the initiative will be implemented with support from various parties, including relevant ministries, to ensure broad benefits for the population.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar emphasized that this move serves as a sign of comprehensive support for 34.5 million Malaysians. He made these remarks after officiating the TikTok Shop Summit Malaysia. The event was also attended by Communications Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil, Entrepreneur and Cooperative Development Minister Steven Sim Chee Keong, and Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali.

Anwar further stated that the online sale, a first for the initiative, aims to provide the public with daily necessities at reasonable prices. He highlighted the importance of complementing good economic growth with efforts to address the public's living challenges, including improving education, health, basic infrastructure, and cost of living.

The Prime Minister expressed hope that the initiative would be widely promoted to maximize its reach and allow more people to take advantage of the offers. The Jualan Rahmah programme, organized by the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN), aims to provide basic necessities at prices 10 to 30 percent lower than regular market rates.
