Kuala lumpur: Three children of former finance minister the late Tun Daim Zainuddin, who are wanted by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), are currently abroad, said Immigration director-general Datuk Zakaria Shaaban.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Immigration Department (JIM) records indicate that three of the children left Malaysia between late January and early February. Meanwhile, the records show that another child has no record of leaving the country.
The MACC announced yesterday that it was attempting to track down four of Tun Daim's children to assist in an ongoing investigation. The commission has urged anyone with relevant information to come forward.
In a statement, the MACC identified the individuals as Asnida Abdul Daim, Md Wira Dani Abdul Daim, Muhammed Amir Zainuddin Daim, and Muhammed Amin Zainuddin Daim.
