Batam: INNIO Group and PT MPower Daya Energia, a member of the Infra Daya Group, have finalized an agreement to supply 80 MW of power aimed at stabilizing the electricity grid in Batam, Indonesia.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the agreement was formalized during a signing ceremony in Batam. This strategic partnership is designed to address the growing energy demands in the area, driven by the rapid development of local data centers, with ten currently under construction. PT MPower Daya Energia plans to deploy Jenbacher gas engines to ensure efficient energy distribution to critical areas.
Infra Daya Group, a prominent energy solutions provider in Southeast Asia, including Indonesia and Myanmar, boasts an installed INNIO capacity of 335 MW. The collaboration is expected to bolster the region's energy infrastructure, aligning with the increasing industrial and technological activities in Batam.
