Accra:First paragraph of the news story.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Junior Achievement (JA) Worldwide and HP have announced a global partnership aimed at advancing digital skills, artificial intelligence education, workforce readiness, and entrepreneurship among young people and educators across 37 countries.

The collaboration leverages HP's technology, skills training, and employee expertise along with JA's extensive global reach, local community networks, and over a century of experience in experiential education. The initiative will offer locally tailored learning experiences while setting shared standards for educational quality, volunteer engagement, and impact measurement.

In the first year, JA Worldwide and HP aim to engage over 850,000 young people and educators through hands-on learning activities. HP employees will participate as mentors, speakers, subject-matter experts, and judges.

JA Worldwide's CEO, Asheesh Advani, stated that the partnership will support youth in developing digital fluency, entrepreneurial thinking, and workforce readiness, while assisting educators in enhancing their skills and teaching practices. Chief Development Officer, Leo Martellotto, highlighted that the global framework will expand effective programs, create more opportunities for HP employees to share their expertise, and extend learning opportunities to young people.

The partnership will focus on regions including Africa, the Americas, Asia Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East and North Africa, targeting countries such as Malaysia, China, India, Indonesia, Nigeria, South Africa, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia. Programs will cover AI and digital literacy, entrepreneurship, career exploration, work-readiness training, digital safety and citizenship, along with professional development for educators.

Through the JA Institute, the organizations plan to draw lessons from this partnership to contribute to broader discussions on education, technology, youth development, and the future of work.

In the Americas, the HP-supported #AIForImpact Challenge under JA Americas' NAUFest initiative will invite young people to identify challenges in their communities and develop AI-powered solutions. Participants will receive guided learning, mentorship and opportunities to present their ideas.
