Kuala lumpur: The Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS), through its Islamic Education Division, is inviting 2025 Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) graduates to apply for the Selangor Special Higher Education Scholarship to pursue studies at Universiti Islam Selangor (UIS).
According to BERNAMA News Agency, JAIS announced via social media that the scholarship will cover three specific programmes: Bachelor of Usuluddin with Multimedia along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education; Bachelor of Quranic Language with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education; and Bachelor of Syariah and Law.
Eligibility for the scholarship requires STAM candidates to have achieved at least a Jayyid Jiddan (very good) grade. Additionally, applicants must possess a credit in Bahasa Melayu from the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), a pass in English, and a minimum grade B in Arabic. JAIS also specified that successful candidates will be given the opportunity to participate in a three-month intensive Arabic course abroad, organised by the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (ICESCO).
The application process is divided into two intakes: the first intake runs from April 4 to May 22, while the second intake is from August 3 to October 5.
