Penang: The closure of state road P14, or Jalan Tun Sardon (Bukit Baru), near here following a landslide on Thursday has been extended until Oct 31.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Penang Infrastructure, Transport and Digital Committee chairman Zairil Khir Johari stated that there are currently no new landslides or incidents along the affected road. Public Works Department contractors have started cleanup works since early this morning at areas deemed safe to access.

He also mentioned that the route remains closed to the public, with the closure extended until 6 pm on Oct 31.
