JaPen DG Encourages Display of Jalur Gemilang for National Celebrations

Muar: Reignite the patriotic spirit by flying the Jalur Gemilang in conjunction with the National Month and Malaysia Day 2025 celebrations, which will be launched in Muar, Johor on July 27. Information Department (JaPen) director-general (DG) Julina Johan said flying the national flag symbolises the spirit of the people's struggle, unity, and love for the homeland.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Julina Johan emphasized the importance of flying the Jalur Gemilang with respect, adhering to the proper protocol to maintain its dignity as a symbol of the nation's sovereignty. She urged citizens to ensure the national flag is in good condition and not to display a tattered version. She highlighted the necessity of placing the flag in a position of honour and respect, as it represents the values held by Malaysians.

The National Day celebration is scheduled for August 31 at Dataran Putrajaya, while the Malaysia Day event will take place on September 16 in Penang, under the theme 'Malaysia MADANI: Rakyat Disantuni'.
