Selangor: A total of 6,500 leaflets on Budget 2026 and the BUDI MADANI RON95 (BUDI95) targeted subsidy programme have been distributed across the state as part of the government's ongoing efforts to provide the public with accurate information on its policies and initiatives. Selangor Information Department (JAPEN) director Cik Kazidi Mohd Zainuddin stated that the initiative was carried out through the Info On Wheels (IOW) programme, which engaged directly with the community on the ground.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, as of October 31, 6,500 leaflets have been distributed through the IOW programme across nine districts in Selangor, in collaboration with local government agencies and communities. The distribution included Sabak Bernam (500 leaflets), Kuala Selangor (500), Gombak (500), Kuala Langat (500), Sepang (500), Hulu Selangor (500), Klang (1,000), Hulu Langat (1,000), and Petaling (1,500).
Cik Kazidi added that the IOW programme is one of the government's direct engagement efforts to provide the public with fast, clear, and reliable information on current policies and initiatives. The programme also offers more than one-way communication, enabling the public to provide input and feedback on government policies, particularly concerning Budget 2026 and BUDI95.
"This approach is in line with the MADANI Communication agenda, which emphasises accountability and encourages public participation in understanding and assessing the implementation of government policies," Cik Kazidi said.
Earlier, Cik Kazidi joined 21 JAPEN officers to carry out IOW announcements around Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Petronas Section 7, Pasar Besar Section 6, and two restaurants in Section 10. The programme was also enlivened with activities, including Sembang Santai Komuniti MADANI, community programmes, and other initiatives aimed at strengthening ties between the government and the public.
