Kuala lumpur: Jati Tinggi Group Bhd's (JTGroup) wholly-owned subsidiary, Jati Tinggi Holding Sdn Bhd, has secured a RM72.84 million contract to undertake power infrastructure works for a data centre development in Selangor. JTGroup stated in a Bursa Malaysia filing that the contract involves the design, supply, delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning of a 275-kilovolt PMU Megasteel cable connection to the Consumer Landing Station for a data centre at Banting Technology Park in Banting, Selangor.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the contract is expected to be completed by January 15, 2027, and is expected to contribute positively to the future earnings, earnings per share, and net assets per share of the company over the duration of the contract. In a statement, JTGroup managing director Datuk Lim Yeong Seong said the award reflects the expanding opportunities for the company beyond its traditional utility-related projects.
Datuk Lim noted that as power-intensive developments such as data centres continue to grow, there is increasing demand from the private sector for both medium- and high-voltage power infrastructure. With the order book now standing at approximately RM1.1 billion, the group is encouraged by the growing diversity of its project portfolio.
The company's financial year 2026 (FY2026) year-to-date contract wins have reached RM544.6 million, already surpassing the RM460.4 million secured for the entire FY2025.
