Besut: A woman was attacked during an attempted robbery while delivering a cake order in Jertih. The incident occurred at 2.30 pm when the 31-year-old woman was making a delivery of frozen cakes to a buyer at a house in the village, as reported by the Besut deputy police chief, DSP Md Sani Md Saleh.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the suspect approached the victim, who was in her car, and brandished a knife, attempting to seize the car keys. Despite the threat, the victim resisted, using her hand to stop the suspect, which resulted in injuries to both her right and left hands.

Md Sani stated that the suspect fled the scene without taking any valuables from the victim. The case is currently under investigation under Section 394 of the Penal Code, which pertains to causing hurt in an attempted robbery.
