Suzuka: Johor Motorsports Racing (JMR) continued its podium success at the Suzuka 1000 GT3 endurance race, with its Pro-Am team finishing runners-up at the Suzuka Circuit in Japan on Sunday.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, JMR owner and racer Tunku Panglima Johor Tunku Abdul Rahman Sultan Ibrahim, Tunku Putera Johor Tunku Abu Bakar Sultan Ibrahim, and Pro driver Ben Green all delivered clean stints throughout the six-and-a-half-hour race to secure the Pro-Am podium finish. This result marked an improvement for JMR from the previous year, when it finished in third place.

Meanwhile, JMR's Pro team, comprising Scott McLaughlin, Nicky Catsburg, and Alexander Sims, fought throughout the race to replicate their 2025 podium finish but narrowly missed out on the rostrum, finishing in fourth place. Tunku Abdul Rahman expressed that finishing second in the Pro-Am class was a commendable achievement, and he expressed pride in the team's efforts.

'Our Pro team was very close as well, but finished just off the podium. It's not the result we wanted, but we're here to learn, and I'm sure we'll come back stronger in the future,' Tunku Abdul Rahman said. He highlighted the challenges faced in 2026 and praised the team for rising to the occasion despite tough competition.

Tunku Abu Bakar shared his excitement about the team's improvement over last year's result, noting the significance of the achievement during the 50th anniversary of the Suzuka 1000 race.
