Bukit keteri: Youths in the country need to embrace three important elements - having big dreams, courage, and knowledge - as they strive to become individuals with leadership qualities in the future. Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Dr Johari Abdul emphasized that young individuals should identify the big dreams they want to achieve in life, then have the courage to change and take action, while equipping themselves with knowledge to stay on the right track.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Johari underscored that regardless of the field they pursue, the youth must possess leadership qualities and believe in their own abilities, grounded in knowledge and their individual strengths. He stated, 'Possess the qualities of a warrior, not only as a soldier or politician, but whatever field we are in, we must have a leadership spirit, the qualities of a great person who believes in themselves.' Johari shared these insights with reporters after closing the Wira Muda Negara Training Series 3/2026 under the National Service Training Programme (PLKN) 3.0 at the National Service Training Branch (CLKN), 504 Territorial Army (AW) Camp in Bukit Keteri.
Also present at the event was National Service Training Department (JLKN) director-general Major General Datuk Marzuki Mokhtar. The ceremony saw female trainee An'nur Najiha Muhammad Shahidan, 18, from Ipoh, Perak, receiving the prestigious Wira Muda Ulung Award, an accolade given to a trainee who demonstrates outstanding performance throughout the training.
Meanwhile, JLKN, in a statement, mentioned that a total of 795 trainees completed their training under Series 3/2026. The closing ceremonies were held simultaneously today at three CLKN locations - with 106 female trainees at the 504 AW Camp, 442 male trainees at the 505 AW Camp in Pahang, and 247 female trainees at the 515 AW Camp in Kuala Lumpur.
