Pahang: The Pahang Road Transport Department (JPJ) is investigating an incident involving one of its enforcement officers and a lorry driver at the Lanchang toll area, following the circulation of a viral video on social media.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the incident occurred during an inspection of a lorry suspected of carrying unauthorized cargo under the Land Public Transport Act 2010. The lorry driver reportedly refused to cooperate with the enforcement officer, leading to the recorded encounter.

JPJ Pahang has emphasized its commitment to conducting enforcement in line with standard operating procedures. The department assured that any investigation involving its enforcement officers would be carried out transparently and independently to maintain public trust.

The department also revealed that a police report was filed by the JPJ officer involved in the incident last Friday. Additionally, JPJ has urged the public to refrain from speculating or spreading unverified information about the incident.
