Kampung Warisan, Sepanggar To Receive RM100,000 For Facility Upgrades

Sepanggar: The Federal Government has allocated RM100,000 to upgrade facilities at Kampung Warisan, Sepanggar, said Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Sabah and Sarawak) Datuk Mustapha Sakmud. He stated that the allocation includes RM50,000 for repairs to the community hall and another RM50,000 for upgrading the parking area.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Mustapha mentioned that the projects were approved following Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's request and would be implemented through the Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU) of the Prime Minister's Department. "I hope these projects will benefit the Kampung Warisan community," he remarked at the MADANI Kita Bersama Komuniti Darau @ Sepanggar programme.

Also present at the event were Communications Ministry secretary-general Datuk Abdul Halim Hamzah, Sabah Federal secretary Datuk Mohd Razali Wahab, and Community Communications Department (J-KOM) director-general Mohd Hisyamuddin Ghazali.

Meanwhile, Mustapha noted that the government is also reviewing an application to upgrade the mosque in Kampung Warisan, with ICU officers having conducted several site visits. "God willing, I will try to push for the consideration of a new mosque for Kampung Warisan. However, there are several issues that need to be resolved, particularly land matters. If the land issue can be settled, I believe more projects can be brought to Kampung Warisan," he explained.

The MADANI Kita Bersama Komuniti Darau programme, which began yesterday, attracted about 1,300 visitors through various activities for the local community. Approximately 25 ministries, departments, and government agencies participated in the programme to bring services closer to residents and provide information on government initiatives.
