Kota kinabalu: Pakatan Harapan's N25 Kapayan state constituency candidate, Datuk Jannie Lasimbang, went on a walkabout on the first day of campaigning, signalling her consistent commitment to grassroots engagement. The incumbent for Kapayan began her walkabout at Kapayan Square, meeting traders, families, and local business owners. She was accompanied by DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke, Deputy Communications Minister Teo Nie Ching, Deputy Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Liew Chin Tong, and N19 Likas candidate Ginger Phoong.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Jannie later proceeded to Kg Ganang for a dialogue with residents. She will hold a political talk and is scheduled to attend a dinner function with Loke at the ITCC Grand Ballroom later in the evening. Jannie will have to beat 11 other candidates in a 12-cornered fight to defend her seat for the third term.

Sabah voters will cast their ballots on Nov 29, with early voting taking place on Nov 25.
