Kedah Flood Evacuees Reduce to 698 as Relief Efforts Continue

Kedah: The number of flood evacuees in Kedah has decreased to 698 individuals from 198 families as of 8 am today. This marks a reduction from the 720 evacuees from 202 families recorded last night.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Kedah State Disaster Management Committee reported that evacuees from the Pendang, Kota Setar, and Pokok Sena districts continue to be housed at five relief centers (PPS).

Pendang has the highest number of evacuees, with 562 people accommodated in three PPS. In Kota Setar, 128 evacuees are taking shelter at a PPS, while eight evacuees are being housed in Pokok Sena.

Meanwhile, in Perak, the number of flood evacuees remains unchanged at 130 individuals from 36 families. These evacuees are currently taking shelter at Sekolah Agama Rakyat Padang Serai in Manjung.
