Kota bharu: The Kelantan government hopes its views will be taken into account in the appointment of Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad's replacement as the Kelantan State Development Action Council's joint chairman, said Deputy Menteri Besar Datuk Mohamed Fadzli Hassan.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Deputy Menteri Besar Datuk Mohamed Fadzli Hassan expressed that the state government has yet to receive any notification regarding the replacement. However, if the federal government plans to appoint a new joint chairman, Kelantan wishes for its perspectives to be considered and for there to be involvement from the state side.

Datuk Mohamed Fadzli Hassan mentioned that, in his opinion, Nik Nazmi is a person of good standing. However, the matters surrounding his resignation are between him and his party. This statement was made during a press interaction at the Kota Darulnaim Complex.

On May 28, Nik Nazmi announced that he had submitted his resignation letter to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, and the resignation will take effect on Friday.
