Kuala lumpur: His Majesty, Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, today granted an audience to Communications Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil at Istana Negara.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, during the meeting, His Majesty was briefed on the preparations for the National Day celebration, which will take place on August 31 at Dataran Putrajaya.

The theme 'Malaysia MADANI: Kesejahteraan Dinikmati' (Malaysia MADANI: Prosperity Shared) has been chosen for this year's National Day and Malaysia Day 2026 (HKHM2026) celebrations, while the Malaysia MADANI logo remains the official logo for the celebrations until next year.

Previously, Fahmi announced that the launch of the National Month and Fly the Jalur Gemilang 2026 campaign will be held in Ipoh, Perak on July 19, while the Malaysia Day Celebration will take place on September 16 in Sarawak.
