Kuala Lumpur:His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, today granted an audience to Independent Police Conduct Commission (IPCC) chairman Datuk Zolkopli Dahalan and deputy chairman Martina@Kartina Zamhari at Istana Negara.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, during the nearly hour-long meeting, the King was briefed on the commission's role, functions, and powers. His Majesty was also informed about the statistics of complaints received by the IPCC and the status and outcomes of resolved cases.
The IPCC, which started its operations on November 1, 2023, is tasked with independently and transparently monitoring, investigating, and handling misconduct complaints involving Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) personnel. Additionally, the commission makes recommendations to enhance the welfare and wellbeing of police personnel.
