Kuala lumpur: His Majesty, Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, received Letters of Credence from six new foreign envoys at Istana Negara. The ceremony took place at the Singgahsana Kecil, Istana Negara, marking a significant diplomatic occasion for the country.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the heads of foreign missions included Mauritius High Commissioner Rabin Gungoo, Turkish Ambassador Nevzat Uyanik, and Brunei High Commissioner Abdu'r Rahmani Basir. Sultan Ibrahim also accepted Letters of Credence from Ahmed Olatunji Sulu Gambari of Nigeria, Raymond Serge Bale of Congo, and Ermal Mu§a of Albania.
In addition to receiving foreign envoys, Sultan Ibrahim presented instruments of appointment to five Malaysian envoys designated to missions abroad. The newly appointed heads include Datuk Muzafar Shah Mustafa as Ambassador to Indonesia, Jamal Sharifuddin Johan as Ambassador to Vietnam, and Muhammad Radzi Jamaludin as Ambassador to Mexico.
Further appointments were made for Datuk Shahabudeen Adam Shah as Ambassador to Italy and Edi Irwan Mahmud as Ambassador to Morocco. These appointments reflect Malaysia's commitment to strengthening international relations.
Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan and Ministry of Foreign Affairs secretary-general Tan Sri Amran Mohamed Zin were also present at the ceremony, underscoring the importance of these diplomatic engagements.
