Tokyo: Kioxia Corporation, a leader in memory solutions, has announced the sampling of new Universal Flash Storage (UFS) Ver. 4.1 embedded memory devices. These devices are specifically designed for automotive applications, meeting the demands of next-generation in-vehicle systems. The devices are powered by Kioxia's generation 8 BiCS FLASH2S 3D flash memory and in-house designed controller technology, offering significant performance, flexibility, and diagnostic enhancements.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the new UFS 4.1 devices are available in capacities of 128 gigabytes (GB), 256GB, 512GB, and 1 terabyte (TB). These devices are tailored to meet the needs of infotainment systems, Advanced Driving Assistant Systems (ADAS), telematics, domain controllers, and vehicle computers. They comply with AEC-Q100/104 Grade 2 standards, supporting case temperatures up to 115°C.
