Tokyo: Kioxia Corporation today announced the launch of its KIOXIA BG8 Series solid state drives (SSDs), marking the latest development in its client SSD offerings aimed at PC OEM customers. These SSDs deliver PCIe® 5.0 speed to the mainstream sector, merging advanced capabilities with efficient operation and versatile design options suitable for slim laptops, commercial and consumer notebooks, and desktop systems.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the KIOXIA BG8 Series is equipped with Kioxia's BiCS FLASHS generation 8 TLC-based 3D flash memory, enhancing both performance and power efficiency. The series shows significant improvements over its predecessor, with up to 47% higher sequential read, 67% higher sequential write, 44% higher random read, and 30% higher random write performance.
