KKR Resolves Majority of MyJalan Road Damage Complaints

Kuala lumpur: The Ministry of Works (KKR) has successfully resolved 95.83 per cent of road damage complaints received through the MyJalan application since August 2023, showcasing the effectiveness of the ministry's maintenance strategies.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Minister of Works, Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi, reported that out of 13,451 road-related complaints under the jurisdiction of KKR and its agencies, 12,890 have been addressed. This highlights MyJalan's pivotal role in the nation's road maintenance framework.

Datuk Seri Alexander further elaborated on the ministry's plans to improve this capability through the upcoming MyJalan 2.0. This new version will offer smart integration, real-time status tracking, and safety analytics, aiming to make road repairs more proactive and efficient.

In his remarks at the ministry's monthly assembly, attended by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Alexander emphasized the positive outcomes of the government's high-impact projects across various sectors, including health, education, and infrastructure. These projects include the completion of seven hospitals, 14 health clinics, two specialist centers, and numerous initiatives to enhance educational facilities and community infrastructures.

He also highlighted efforts in Sabah and Sarawak to upgrade hybrid solar systems, ensuring consistent electricity access for rural schools. Additionally, the government is enhancing the safety net with the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) lift upgrade program, benefiting over 12,620 personnel and their families.

The completion of the Bagan Datuk-Kampung Sejagop Bridge, regarded as a world-class project, has further elevated Malaysia's technical and engineering reputation on the global stage. Moreover, the initiative to upgrade 67 junctions to Smart Traffic Lights (STL) has improved traffic flow and safety, reflecting the government's commitment to inclusive infrastructure development focused on public welfare.
