Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts opened higher on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives on Thursday. At 9.32 am, the July 2026 contract rose 5.5 points to 1,725.0. The August 2026 contract added 3.5 points, reaching 1,725.0. Concurrently, the September 2026 contract increased by 2.5 points to 1,703.5, and the December 2026 contract gained 3.0 points to land at 1,704.5.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, turnover for the session stood at 1,538 lots, with open interest totaling 41,180 contracts. By 9.48 am, the FBM KLCI was recorded at 1,720.79, marking a 7.03-point increase compared to Wednesday's closing figure of 1,713.76.
