KLCI Futures Decline Across Multiple Contracts

Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower on Friday, marking a downtrend in multiple contract months.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the August 2026, December 2026, and March 2027 contracts each fell by 4.5 points to settle at 1,729.5, 1,709, and 1,694, respectively. The September 2026 contract experienced a decline of four points, ending at 1,707.5.

Turnover decreased to 7,971 lots from 8,228 on Thursday, indicating a reduction in market activity. Open interest also saw a decline, easing to 49,170 contracts from the previous count of 49,428 contracts. At the 5 pm market close, the FBM KLCI itself eased by 0.08 per cent, or 1.40 points, to 1,735.75, compared to Thursday's closing of 1,737.15.
