Kuala Lumpur:The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower on Thursday, reflecting a decline in the underlying cash market.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the October 2026 contract fell by 14 points to 1,591.0, while the November 2026 contract slid 14.50 points to 1,592.0. The December 2026 contract shed 13 points to 1,598.0, and the March 2027 contract decreased 10.5 points to 1,584.5.
There was an improvement in turnover, rising to 9,132 lots from 8,651 lots on Wednesday. Open interest also increased to 48,437 contracts from the previous 47,922 contracts.
By 5 pm, the FBM KLCI had eased 10.77 points to 1,601.01, down from Wednesday's close of 1,611.78.
