KLCI Futures End Higher

Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher on Wednesday. The August 2026 contract rose by six points to 1,730.5. Similarly, the September 2026 contract gained five points, ending at 1,709.0. The December 2026 contract added 5.5 points to close at 1,710.5. Meanwhile, the March 2027 contract went up by 4.5 points, settling at 1,691.0.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, turnover saw an increase to 10,065 lots compared to 9,608 lots on Tuesday. Open interest also grew, reaching 46,972 contracts, up from 44,960 contracts previously. Despite the rise in futures, the FBM KLCI itself saw a slight decline by 5 pm, easing 2.04 points or 0.12 percent to 1,731.32 from the previous day's close of 1,733.36.
