KLCI Futures Ends Lower as Contracts Slip

Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower on Friday. At the close, the February 2026 contract slipped 12.0 points to 1,746.0. The March 2026 and June 2026 contracts fell 11.5 points each to 1,726.50 and 1,731.50, respectively, while the September 2026 contract dropped 9.0 points to 1,719.5.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, turnover was higher at 10,258 lots compared to 6,629 lots on Thursday. Open interest increased to 49,706 contracts from the previous 44,029 contracts. Despite the decline in futures, at 5 pm, the FBM KLCI inched up 0.72 of a point to 1,752.83 from Thursday's close of 1,752.11.
